Adding to the WIP list!

A couple of weeks ago I spent a very enjoyable day at my LQS tracing and cutting and generally playing with fabric. The time just flew by!

I was at a Christmas craft class where we had several projects to pick from to work on on the day. Naturally I picked a project, an Applique Christmas Tree wallhanging,  that was unlikely to be finished in the time and so it proved.

Applique Christmas Tree

This was as far as I got on the day!

Now I am hoping for a quiet moment (!!!) in the next week to tackle the applique otherwise it may well become a Christmas WIP for next year :(

What do you think the chances are?

  7. Looks like a lot of stitching, but once you start it'll probably go faster. A very pretty tree.

  22. You may have picked a tricky one, but it is beautiful, and well worth it, even if it does have to wait until next Christmas. Luckily Christmas happens every year, so it doesn't matter when you get it finished :)

  23. That's stunning! Is it needle turn? I have a couple if Christmas projects that get put away with the decorations each January: I just work on them over Christmas, and they have become traditions of their own !!!!

  24. I think this is so beautiful that it could stay out well beyond Christmas. I'd vote for finishing as soon as you have time and keeping out until at least Spring. I'd definitely caution against abandoning it until this time next year x
