.
So I brushed the dust off my Craftsy BOM quilt blocks and pulled out my instructions for the August blocks! The theme for August was stars and after a quick refresher the two blocks looked like this.
The first was this simple star and the second
A star in a star!
So another two blocks nearer to the end of this BOM. September's blocks are based on the Drunkard's Path pattern so my sewing table has some of these waiting for me to work on them.
These are so not my favourite thing to work on!
Still the pile of completed blocks is getting bigger and better.
It will be nice to tick this off eventually :)

Love the fabrics you are using, Fiona! Lovely stack of curves to be joined too!
ReplyDeleteOooh, those fabrics are quite yum. Both stars look lovely. I've yet so sew curves--it seems so scary! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWow a star in a star - v clever! I am scared of curves so hats off to you for getting your drunkard's path all cut and pinned. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYour stars are lovely! I really like the fabric colours you're using in this BOM :)
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely - that star in a star is so my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteI love the stars! I'd love to join in with the recipe swap but don't think there's a chance of me fitting in! :-(
ReplyDeleteFiona i think i am more behind on the Craftsy BOM 2012 than you. But i have seen some beautiful FMQ on some of the quilts lately so i may pull it back out and get some more done. Good on you for persevering.
ReplyDeleteMy FAL list is looking a tad dismal on the finish front but hey, anything we don't get done this time can move to next quarter, right? ;o)
ReplyDeleteAll I ever did was sign up for the BOM. Good for you for dusting them off - they are great and it'll be nice to see it all together.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Looks like you have accomplished so much.
ReplyDeleteI really like the star in a star block and your colors are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks Fiona. I love the star in a star. You have accomplished so much!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have an armfull of WIP's. Love the star blocks with the selection of fabric that you choose. Good luck in the Drunkard Path blocks. I honestly hated working with those blocks myself. Took me quite a few tries and alot of ramblings under my breath to get them finished. Can't wait to see them.
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun to see that pile of blocks grow! Your stars look beautiful. My favorite is the star-within-a-star block!
ReplyDeleteAwww, so nice to cross things off your list. Love the blocks you've shown. Definitely my colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely star blocks. I love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI love the star in a star! I'm hoping to start a starry quilt soon!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! Lovely blocks.
