Welcome to the last New to Me Link party of 2014
Time to celebrate all those new to you activities that you have tried out this month.
Surprisingly my New to Me activities are actually sewing-related this month :)
My first attempt at partial seams for Nicky's Siblings Together Quilting Bee block
My very first Hawaiian Applique block! The needleturn applique took forever!
My first QAYG pouch, my Pay it Forward gift to Nessa
and a really special New to Me
An early present from me to me :)
So that's my New to Me this month, now it is your turn to share all the fascinating things that you have been up to in December. As ever please help to spread the word by linking back to this post in your post and/or adding the blog button to your sidebar.
The link will remain open until 23.59GMT on December 31st, so you have plenty of time to try something new and link up and join the party :)
I know you will love your Bernina! I love mine. Several years ago, well it was more than 20 years, I made all the girls in our family denim jumpers, not sweaters, but a dress like that you have to wear a blouse with. After 13 jumpers I decided I needed a new sewing machine, one that would do some fancy stitching. I had no idea what kind I wanted. I went to a shop that sold fabrics and sewing machines. I bought the Bernina 1080. It does not do a lot of fancy stitches, but enough for me. Once in all these years I have completely put it away. That lasted about 2 weeks. I love my Bernina!
ReplyDeletethat looks a great machine |I have the 1230 over 20 years old and still working well. Have a lovely time with your family
ReplyDeleteI love my Bernina, Fiona. I'm absolutely sure you'll be happy with yours. Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteMy sewy friend up the street was gifted a 70's Bernie with a gorgeous red case - the owner had died, and nobody else in the family sewed, so they asked my friend if she could find a use for a dusty old machine? When my friend went to get it, she realized it was a Bernie - it was love at first sight, lol! You'll love yours as well!
ReplyDeleteAre you continuing the New to Me in 2015? Will there be a new button? I'm determined to participate in 2015.
