I have been wanting to try making a QAYG pouch for a while now, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to scratch that itch :)
The instructions for the pouch have been gathering (virtual) dust on one of my Pinterest boards so it is nice to have also made a pinned project too. The instructions are available here if you would like to give them a go.
Can you tell that Nessa's favourite colour is green??
Oh and here's the photo of the front of Jo's pouch that I couldn't find yesterday!
If you would like to join in the Pay it Forward fun too, head on over to Nessa's Place where Nessa is looking for three more volunteers to take part. All the details you need to participate are on Nessa's blog.
The pouch with the hexie! Love
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of zippered boxy bags. And handled zippered boxy bags. And especially - handled zippered boxy bags that are Q'ed AYG. LOVE your third PIF project - as does the recipient, I'm sure! A few years ago I learned how to make boxy bags, but ones with a handle (strap) weren't very common. I saw one and loved it, but couldn't figure out how to insert the handle during construction - I just couldn't wrap my brain around it. Despite much Googling, I couldn't find a tutorial for it either. I ended up buying a pattern just for that part of the instructions, and of course, once I saw it, it made total sense, LOL! It was worth the $4 or $6 (I forget) to learn the secret :D
ReplyDeleteSweet hexies on the purple bag!
A truly BEAUTIFUL boxy bag, Fiona!!! You've just given me an idea for a Christmas present. I know I probably won't have time, but I'd like to try.
