Here are my first two blocks,
and here are the second.
These were really quick to put together, as ever it took longer to select the fabric than it did to make the block :)
Before making these Bee blocks, I thought that I had better try out the new machine so rustled up another Scrappy Trip Around the World block to add to my almost quilt sized collection.
I reckon another 4 blocks should do it!
The Queen Bee in the Fat Stash Brit Bee has been ominously silent this month, so for now I have my January Bee commitments done and dusted and we are only just into double figures in the month, perhaps 2015 will be the year I finally get organised after all :) Then again, I doubt it!
Speaking of organised, check back on January 18th for the first post in this year's Christmas Link Party

ReplyDeleteI love the feeling of getting bee blocks finished. And how fun that they came together so quickly for you. It sounds like your new machine is working well, and it will be fun to see the Scrappy Trip Around the World blocks get finished up soon!
ReplyDeleteNice blocks - how big is the TATW block? Only 4 more before you have enough for your project - you could get those done lickety-split, then whip up the quilt in a day or two! Or not, she says while ducking and running :D
ReplyDeleteYou know I'll be here on the 18th to welcome another year of Ho Ho Ho'ing!!
fab blocks! It does feel good to get the blocks done so early in the month. Glad to hear the new machine is fun ;) x
ReplyDeleteYour bee blocks look great and I love your new Ho Ho Ho badge :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Fiona - choosing fabrics is so often the hardest part of a project. You are definitely on a roll and so early in the year.
