Last time you looked this was what my green hearts looked like.
Well, with a bit of this
and a bit of that
it now looks like this
Ready just in time to make my husband comfortable as he settles in front of the TV this afternoon to cheer Ireland on in their attempt to beat France and win the Six Nations Rugby Championship!
The pattern for this Shamrock Heart Cushion is also the newest addition to my fledgling Craftsy Pattern Store so the Luckenbooth Pillow Pattern does not look quite so lonely any more :)
Time to get back to that WIP list (well maybe after the rugby!).
Linking up to
and just sneaking in for this!
Ha! Great title and great timing!
ReplyDeleteYay, I'm all for sneaking in! So glad you linked this up to TGIFF!, Fiona! It's such a clever way to use hearts. Céad míle fáilte!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was quick! It looks beautiful. The best I shall manage for my rugby watching husband might be to bring him a drink so that he doesn't have to move from the TV.
ReplyDeleteIt has turned out beautifully. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThat is just fantastic - I love the little free motion shamrocks! I see it bought him luck:-)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I love pillows. And green.
ReplyDeleteVery, very effective, Fiona!!! Look at all your FMQ, especially the little shamrocks. All your practising has paid off.
ReplyDeleteBet that poor cushion's been practically battered to death after that match ;o)
ReplyDeleteAwesome cushion Fiona, especially the quilting!!!!! The shamrocks are perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilting between the hearts! Well done, and well done to Ireland too !
ReplyDeleteLove the quilting detail on your super cushion.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous...what a clever pattern and then lovely quilting to boot! Perfect pillow! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful pillow!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pillow!
ReplyDeleteThose puffy hearts are so cute. Makes me think of those cartoons where that characters heart swells up when he is love smitten. I am sure your husband will enjoy the pillow as much as he enjoys his rugby knowing you made it for him.
ReplyDeleteTurned out great and look at all the FMQ on it!
ReplyDeleteI really like it! I like all things with repetitive shapes like your hearts or hexagons. And what a clever way to sew them. I invite you to share your hearts on Hexie Weekend. This could be just the pattern to be a catalyst for a similar pillow but with hexagons. Closes Monday, Midnight.
ReplyDeleteTurned out beautiful Brilliant idea to make the hearts into the shamrock And your FMQ looks fantastic. I'm sure your husband was thrilled with his new cushion.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, what an inspired design!
ReplyDeletethat's fab! I thought it was going to be a heart of hearts
ReplyDeleteSure love that pillow!
ReplyDeleteLOL - see I log in as the other blog I moderate - Raincross. Just love your pillow and thanks for linking to Hexie Weekend - your pillow fits right in even though it's hearts - I can see one in hexies.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely St. Patty's gift! I have always wanted to try sewing hearts but I have yet to take the plunge.
