I was at a Christmas craft class where we had several projects to pick from to work on on the day. Naturally I picked a project, an Applique Christmas Tree wallhanging, that was unlikely to be finished in the time and so it proved.
This was as far as I got on the day!
Now I am hoping for a quiet moment (!!!) in the next week to tackle the applique otherwise it may well become a Christmas WIP for next year :(
What do you think the chances are?

this is different from the usual tree, really like it, maybe it will be ready for this year
ReplyDeleteThe chances are BIG. Go for it! :-) I have this pattern saved for next year, lol.
ReplyDeleteOoh that is a gorgeous looking tree! Love the texty background. I hope you can get it done in time!
ReplyDeleteLove this design - are you hand appliquéing it? I'm sure you can get it finished, after all there's a whole 2 weeks to go yet!
ReplyDeleteLooking REALLY good so far, Fiona. Almost 2 weeks to go...
ReplyDeleteGo for it! It's going to look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of stitching, but once you start it'll probably go faster. A very pretty tree.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tree but looks like a project to be savoured slowly and enjoyed :)
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great tree. you can do it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love all the swirls and colors!

ReplyDeleteThat looks like a good day's work to me. I love that pattern! It's going to be beautiful enough that the year of completion doesn't even matter.

ReplyDeleteGo for it, it's lovely and very unusual!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love this very much.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! I hope you'll get time to work on it. :)
ReplyDeleteYou may have picked a tricky one, but it is beautiful, and well worth it, even if it does have to wait until next Christmas. Luckily Christmas happens every year, so it doesn't matter when you get it finished :)
ReplyDeleteThat's stunning! Is it needle turn? I have a couple if Christmas projects that get put away with the decorations each January: I just work on them over Christmas, and they have become traditions of their own !!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is so beautiful that it could stay out well beyond Christmas. I'd vote for finishing as soon as you have time and keeping out until at least Spring. I'd definitely caution against abandoning it until this time next year x
ReplyDeleteI've loved that pattern since last year; yours looks marvelous.
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern. It's looking great!
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas applique always catches my eye! I think I need to do something about that. . .
